Size stripping instructions

The best we have on ds rom ripping right now is this: Size stripping but it's already on the todo list. I hope someone can get around to writing a more expanded howto.

spider-man works with efa 512

spiderman works fine with efa 512 mb and nanostray for saves. gba JAP with flashed firmware. but saves go to nds cart.

Ultimate Spiderman works/saves with some sounds missing. No need to strip size. Don't know how far it can play.

Nintendogs saves correctly on x-rom

Nintendogs saves fine when patched to save to gba flash card on an x-rom 512, the save isn't corrupt when you try and load either...

What happens with nintendogs is that everything *seems* fine, but after you load the save nothing works anymore in the game, you can't do anything, that's why it's corrupt. Titney 10:43, 4 Oct 2005 (EDT)
It works fine on mine with the 256megabit Lube dump of Daschund and Friends...I saved, and loaded, and it worked fine for me...I could try again, but I never had any problems...The X-rom does have 2 megabit of save space...I trained my dog a little, saved it, turned it off then on, and loaded my save no problem...didn't play it long though...

Lost in Blue doesn`t work

lost in blue crashes after the menu. efa 512 and flashed jap ds. it not a problem of the size because xg2 with 512mb and gst-patch works but without save.

gst patcher is completely different, so it's completely irrelevant if it works with gst patcher or not. if you want to i can explain further. 10:44, 4 Oct 2005 (EDT)

I have a question. What emulator is this on. Can you give me a link, for the Emulator, and the ROM for lost in blue? thanks in advance. Lordned 12:24, 3 Nov 2005 (EST)

Nintendogs saves fine on a EZFA aswell + Action Replay save backups

The EZFA 256 card will save backup and restore nintendogs fine if you set the RAM size to 256K

Also I tested backing up the saver with a GBA Action Replay GBX, this also will backup and restore the save just fine even if you didn't set the RAM size up

I would like to see other reports for the Action Replay GBX with flash cards that corrupt the save when a backup is restored normally with the flash software, as it may be one way round the problem that some gba flash cards have

Zorlon ;)

Meteo's (E) can be ripped much the same way Caslevania was to fit on a 256 flash card (Just an intro movie)

I havn't looked at the other versions yet

You don't mention if saving "fine" means the save is actually not corrupt? Titney 15:42, 21 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Save is indeed not corrupt sorry if I didn't make that clear (even if you format the saver and the flash card then reflash the game and reflash the saver the gamesave is still working)

Lost in Blue:- can be ripped but not realy recomended well not the way I did it with in game sound being replaced with a smaller sound file, making it fully playable but not the experience that the game intended. (Not played right through it yet myself so only a quick test)

Edit:- I didn't mention that I used the (U) version of Nintendogs Lab+friends

Edit:- far too many edits :P but hope the info is helpfull at the end of the day

Issues with 0072 Puyo Pop Fever

Contrary to the table, I have issues with Puyo pop fever. The game will indeed start up, showing the manufacturer screens, but then goes black and never recovers. Dig dug also has moments when it goes black when switching screens \ levels but it recovers after a moment. I have the EZ flash 2 256 cart. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has this issue.

Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! saving works

Contrary to the table, Ouendan! will save your progress, just burn the GBA_Save leaving the unknown savetyp as is. My setup: flashed DS +SlimLoaderIII + NeoFlash(512Kb)+ GST3.1-patched .nds file + NeoPowerKit 1.2 = Osu!Tatakae!Ouendan! dump that saves in the FlashCard's SRAM

And btw: This game ROCKS!

well this page is specifically for nds patcher, not a list of games that works with any patcher.

WarioWare Touched! (E)

the european version of this unique game works on X-Rom with DsPassme and flashed wih littlewriter. though the saves seems to work but fails, nothing in gba card nor ds card.

Pac Pix

I'm using the EZ-FLASH2 256MB But 0008_Pac_Pix_U_128 seems can not save! In the Ez Clint, there isn't any choice for the EEPROM 4K bit, only 0 bit the 64K bit. What can I do?

Thanks!

- Leave it set to 256Kbit UNKNOW and it will save just fine
