Rising Sun

From PHWiki

Throughout 2003 to early 2005, Rising Sun was the leading group of suppling the newest GBA games. They were seen to be the one of the fastest suppliers with dozens of prestore titles and quick releases.

Rising Sun began as the "kicking trio" in 2003, but as they began to become more prolific they grew into a large group of international members. Rising Sun's first release was Britney's Dance Beat.

Rising Sun continued to dominate the handheld scene for the following years, releasing trainers, hacks and other useful tools. Even when the Nintendo e-Reader was released, Rising Sun jumped in to help dump the cards.

On December 26, 2004, when the tsunami devasted south-east Asia and surrounding countries. Rising Sun brought all the major groups together in order to form a Tsunami help fund. Rising Sun brought together thirty-five big name groups to help donate to the tsunami affected regions. It is unknown how much they donated, but this disaster brought out the best in everyone.

In early 2005, Rising Sun joined with Caravan under the new group name of Rising Caravan, they were to do co-operative releases between Europe and Japan, but in the end they only released eight titles under the new venture.

On the 1st of March, 2005, Rising Sun announced that they would stop releasing games. An NFO that was released that day stated that they were tired of the scene and just didn't want to continue. Just over three months later, Rising Sun returned, but now they only release a few titles.

Rising Sun were classed as the masters of Europe, with over 100 European releases and almost 300 releases in total. A great achievement for any group in the handheld scene.
