Graphical glitches
Games that use mid-scanline CHR bankswitching will use one set of tiles for the whole line, causing glitches on one side or the other.
- Marble Madness
- Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!
Games which use more than one set of sprites
PocketNES does not support games which write sprites more than once per frame. Instead, it will only display the last sprite table in the frame.
- Day Dreamin' Davey
- R.C. Pro-Am (PRG 0) (PRG 1 version works fine)
- Stunt Kids
Sound Issues
PocketNES sound is high-level-emulated and thus slightly glitchy, causing a slight click whenever an instrument's volume changes. Timed writes to the audio DAC aren't emulated, so some sounds are missing in the following games:
- Battletoads
- Blades of Steel
- Joshua
- SCAT
- Skate or Die 2
- The Three Stooges
- Wheel of Fortune
Big Bird's Hide and Speak is unplayable due to sound issues.
Other Caveats
PocketNES doesn't pass all of Blargg's highly detailed tests for emulation accuracy.
