No-Intro

From PHWiki

No-Intro is a group created to preserve clean dumps and fix any ROM dumps that have been altered through intros, trainers, hacks, etc. as well as creating a complete list of all dumped games that were ever released.

No-Intro released their first ROM on January 27, 2004 and from then on have continued to work hard obtaining clean dumps and cleaning all altered roms in the GBA and GBC release list.

Today No-Intro has many members from around the world. Although still heavily involved with the GBA Scene, they have moved onto other systems including the Nintendo 64, SNES and Genesis.

No-Intro are strongly at odds with The Scene. The scene encourages groups to show off their talents by adding intros to ROMs, while No-Intro contends that ROMs should be released unaltered. To this day some No-Intro members remain embittered and feel that the scene release ROMs with intros solely to create more work for them.

No-Intro appeared around the same time that Mode7 started releasing roms with unskippable intros.

They have been critized by other redumpers (loosely associated with the GoodTools) for editing and "cleaning" altered roms rather than obtaining actual redumps to verify with certainity that the catalogued rom is pristine.
