GBC
From PHWiki
Game Boy Color or GBC for short was released by Nintendo in 1998. It was an extension of the original Game Boy architecture to incorporate a color screen, DMA transfers, larger cartridge sizes, more RAM, and a faster CPU clock speed. It is 100% backwards compatible with original GB games, but does NOT use Super Game Boy color enhancements.
It uses 2 AA batteries, unlike its predecessor the Game Boy Pocket, which used 2 AAA batteries.
