FA Turbo 128

The first fully functional GBA flash card. Made by Bung under the name of Visoly.

It was physically slightly bigger than a standard GBA cartridge and was available in 64Mbit and 128Mbit sizes.

Predecessor to Flash Advance Pro

Cautions

This card is slightly wider than an original game cartridge. As such it is hard to force it into the GBA SP model, and if you force it into a Nintendo DS it might even get stuck.

It is however fairly easy to shave off half a millimeter or so of the plastic on the sides of the card to make it fit. A common file or sandpaper should work fine.

The Turbo card also seems to have flash chips that are a bit too slow for the Nintendo DS for some reason. It freezes up a lot when used in the DS, even in GBA mode.

There are two ways of flashing it: Via the original flashing software (which was way too simple and was hard to deal with sram saves) and Dadycool's LittleWriter. The very latest versions of LittleWritter didn't support the Turbo models due to a bug, but versions like the v1.0.6.1 worked like a charm, were fast and way better than the original flasher, with wonderfull utilities like the easy-to-use SRAM management. you can download LittleWriter via Little Writer Museum Provided by ShadowStitch or GBAFAN.com's flashing tools page
