The PlayStation Portable firmware versions which have been cracked (V1.00 and V1.50) allow for homebrew applications to be played. This includes emulators specificially designed to work on the PSP.

Amiga 500

UAE
The only Amiga 500 emulator for the PSP, it is capable of emulating most Amiga 500 games with full speed. UAE was created by MIB.42 and is currently on version 0.31, supporting keyboard input and eight sticky keys.

Atari

Atari800PSP
Created by Aenea, this Atari emulator is capable of emulating the Atari 400, 800, XL, XE and 5200. The latest version of Atari800PSP is v0.1 and is able to emulate several Atari games, unfortunatly, the emulator does not have sound support yet.
CaSTaway
Developed by Skeezix of CodeJedi, this emulator allows for the emulation of the Atari ST. The latest version is 005b and is able to emulate almost all Atari ST games flawlessy.
HandyPSP
Based on the Handy v0.90 Atari Lynx emulator by K. Wilkens, HandyPSP created by EXCEED allows for the emulation of the Atari Lynx on the PSP, the emulator currently emulates the games well but there are still many glitches to fix.
StellaPSP
Also created by Aenea, this Atari 2600 emulator supports the emulation of most games but still has some bugs. The latest version is 0.2

Chip8

Chip8 Emulator
The only Chip8 emulator for the PSP, created by Apsd. This emulator is capable of emulating most Chip8 games perfectly.

Commodore 64

c64psp
c64psp is a Sony PSP port of Christian Bauer's Frodo C64 emulator. This is still the first version so not many games will play nor are there many features.

Game Boy Color

RIN
Created by Mr. Mirakichi in early May, it was the first emulator created for the PSP and has since undergone through dozens of updates, now the emulator has the ability of emulating almost all Game Boy Color ROM's perfectly. This is also one of the few emulators that is open source, allowing for anyone to make their own updates.

Game Boy Advance

PSPGBA
Created by psp298, PSPGBA is a GBA emulator for PSP with GUI for game management like RIN and optimized for speed. Although not 100% as fast as GBA but with playable speed for some of the games.
VBA For PSP
Japanese develepor Omega created the original GBA emulator for the PSP based on the GBA Emulator VisualBoyAdvance. Currently it can emulate a handful of games and has no sound support.

Genesis/Megadrive

DGen
The most feature packed emulator of Genesis/MegaDrive for the PSP, it is capable of playing all ROMs almost perfectly.
Generator PSP
A port of the Generator emulator for the PC, Generator PSP emulates most games flawlessly.
MEGADRIVE
The first Genesis/Megadrive emulator created, since its initial few releases, it has been abandoned.
PSP Genesis
Created by Sougen, it is a very impressive emulator that is capable of playing all ROMs almost perfectly.

MAME

PSPMAME (also known as MAME For PSP)
Created by TMK, this emulator plays most Konami, Namco, Sega and Taito games very well.
XMAME
Created by ???, XMAME plays a lot of games qute flawlessly and also supports sound.

MSX

fMSX
Originally created by Osakana, this emulator has since moved to Snatcher. fMSX plays almost all MSX ROMs perfectly although some games still have issues.
HITBIT
The first MSX emulator for PSP, created by Seiko, it is able to emulate most MSX ROMs, but has been abandoned since early June.

NeoGeo

NeoGeo CD Emulator (also known as NeoCD)
Based on NeoCD by Fosters/Martinez Fabrice. This emulator is capable of playing several NeoGeo CD games.
ngPSP
Capable of emulating all NeoGeo Pocket ROMs flawlessly, this emulator is by far the best NeoGeo Pocket emulator for the PSP. Nexis2600 now plans to add WiFi to this emulator.

NES

FamiContest
Although developed from InfoNES, Famicontest was created by Binboukamisam and enhances the work already done by InfoNES by giving it greater compatibility and better sound support.
InfoNES
Created by TMK, InfoNES is a relativly finished NES Emulator for the PSP. It can play most games almost perfectly and has great output on the PSP.
NES for PSP
Another emulator based on InfoNES, much like Famicontest, NES for PSP also updates and enhances the work done on InfoNES, NES for PSP focuses more on the technical side of coding rather than Famicontest's graphical side.
NesterJ
Developed by Ruka on the 30th of May and still a work in progress. This emulator successfully emulates almost all NES games and just like InfoNES, also has great output.

PC Engine

HuE
The final product of xPCE 4 PSP, HuE is a huge update from its predecessor and emulates most PC Engine ROMs perfectly.
PCEP
Created by Kamisama, this emulator supports two-disc ROMs like Street Fighter 2.
xPCE 4 PSP
Develepor "E" created this PC Engine emulator to give the public a stable release that runs fast. Although xPCE's sound and speed is a bit buggy, its features make up for it.

PC-9801

Neko Project 2 (also known as NP2 For PSP)
Developed by Sakahi, Neko Project 2 perfectly emulates the PC-9801 by IBM and all its games.

PlayStation

PSPSOne
Created by PacManFan, PSPSOne was hard coded to run the Paradox pdx-dlcm.psx demo which was for the PlayStation. It managed to run the PSX demo at 0.5FPS and at 222Mhz. Unfortunatly, this emulator seems to have been abandoned for something a little more hopeful.

SCUMM

SCUMM-VM PSP
Thomas Mayer developed this SCUMM emulator for the PSP to have the fun of the classic SCUMM games by LucasArts and the portability of the PSP. Thus the SCUMM-VM PSP Emulator was born. This emulator is open source and supports many SCUMM VM games, it also has a lot of neat features enabling the PSP to emulate it flawlessly.

Sega Master System

SMS PSP
Developed by Yoshihiro of WAB fame, SMS PSP successfully emulates the Sega Master System and GameGear ROMs with sound and perfect speed output.
e[mulator]
An excellent multiconsole emulator that flawlessly emulates the SMS. Also (accurately) emulates the Turbografx 16 (a.k.a. the "PC Engine"), the GameGear and the NES (a.k.a. the "Famicom" or "Dendy").

SNES

SNES9x
A port of the popular SNES emulator for the PC, SNES9x for PSP successfully emulates a handful of games perfectly and since its first release has even had sound support.
uo SNES9x
Based on the SNES9x port for PSP and developed by "Y" this emulator plays lots of SNES ROMs flawlessly, although the majority of SNES ROMs still do not work.
SNES_TYL
An update of SNES9X, combined with optimizations from about 5 other sources. Split into an ME (kernel mode) version for 1.0 and 1.5 users, and a "plain" version for everybody else. SNES_TYL has an extensive set of options, including user-configurable keypad controls, ad-hoc netplay for two players, SNESAdvance speedhacks, game-browser screenshots, and much more!

WonderSwan

Cygne
A port of the Cygne WonderSwan emulator for PC, this emulator developed by Rei has save states, frame skip, fullscreen and zip support.
OSWAN
Developed by Rei, this emulator is probably the most advanced WonderSwan emulator available although compatibility isn't that great.
PSwan
An open source WonderSwan emulator developed by Kmg, this emulator is quite similar to the emulators RIN and NesterJ in appearance, but the emulator successfully emulates most WonderSwan titles.
Wonderswan Color Emulator
Another WonderSwan emulator developed by Rei. This emulator isn't able to play many games and doesn't have many features.

ZX Spectrum

PSPectrum
This emulator successfully emulates approximately 95% of all ZX Spectrum ROMs and with sound. This is definitely the best ZX Spectrum emulator for the PSP.
ZX Spectrum through VBA for PSP
Created by Hscbay, this emulator runs through VBA for PSP allowing the emulation of the ZX Spectrum. It is able to play most games well although VBA For PSP's current version is very limited.
